N.b. this program is not being offered in  2021. But please see our Community Gardening program for 2021 opportunities that can also involve your kids.

For the historical record:

In summer 2019 we offered sessions twice a week to train children in raising vegetables in a home yard environment.

For 2020, we are making plans, to include seed starting and composting as well as tending and harvesting vegetables.

At least 2 qualified adults with a good background in gardening, including our summer interns, will conduct each activity and be with the kids at all times. We envisage 2 sessions a week from 4-5:30 p.m., but we can be flexible.

We want to accommodate everyone we can in this educational venture. If you (as a parent of an interested child) would like more info, please get in touch by emailing westchestergoesgreen@gmail.com/. Naturally we will scrupulously respect all relevant state and local health measures.
